More About the Poet:

Elsa Valmidiano, a Philippine-born and LA-raised writer and poet, currently resides in Oakland with her husband. As the daughter of immigrants, writing oftentimes is a vehicle for her to find a way home to her Motherland. Her works have appeared in literary journals such as TAYO, make/shift, Burner, As/Us, Literature for Life, and others, as well as chapbooks and anthologies such as Field of Mirrors, Walang Hiya, and Circe’s Lament. She continues to perform readings throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Elsa holds a JD from Syracuse Law and an MFA from Mills College.
